Our Principal

Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh.

Respected scholars, honoured guests, dear teachers, beloved students, and members of our community,

        Today, as we reflect on the journey of our beloved Jamia, we are reminded that great institutions are not built overnight they are shaped by vision, sacrifice, and unwavering faith in Allah.

Our story begins in the humble village of Atulugama, a land blessed with simplicity, sincerity, and a deep-rooted Islamic spirit. The revival of religious awareness here, especially after the historic Thabligh Ijthima of 1983, laid the spiritual foundation upon which this institution stands today.

The dream of this Jamia was born in the heart of a sincere servant of Allah, Late Haji Hafees. With nothing but strong conviction and trust in Allah, he envisioned a Madrasa that would serve not only the local community but students from across the world. What started without proper facilities, without buildings, and without resources, began purely with tawakkul complete reliance on Allah.

Allah, in His infinite mercy, sent the right people at the right time. Scholars like Ash-Sheikh Haja Muhiyaddeen stepped forward and carried this heavy responsibility with dedication and sincerity for decades. From a simple beginning with a handful of students, the Jamia grew steadily establishing Hifl and Shari’ah sections, expanding its infrastructure, and nurturing generations of scholars.

Through the generous contributions of well-wishers and donors, buildings were constructed, lands were acquired, a mosque was established, and facilities were continuously improved. Every brick of this Jamia stands as a testimony to Sadaqah Jariyah ongoing charity that continues to benefit countless students.

Today, by the grace of Allah, our Jamia has:

• Produced hundreds of Huffaz and Ulama
• Achieved recognition at national and international levels
• Opened doors for students to pursue higher studies, including opportunities at prestigious institutions like Al-Azhar University

This is not just an institution it is a legacy of knowledge, خدمة (service), and دعوت (mission).

Dear students, you are the future of this Ummah. The journey of this Jamia teaches us that sincerity, patience, and sacrifice will always lead to success. Carry this legacy forward with humility, discipline, and dedication.

Finally, we pray that Allah (SWT) accepts the efforts of all those who contributed to this noble mission from its founders to its teachers, donors, and students. May He continue to bless this Jamia and make it a beacon of guidance for generations to come.
